He Will Always Be Holding My Hand

We were devastated when Pete was diagnosed with incurable cancer

The beautiful Couple, 3rd September 1976

Ours was a whirlwind romance

This Winter we met a beautlful couple, who looked just as in love as they did on their Wedding day back in 1976. It was our great pleasure to create for them a special Couple's Hand Casting, gifted by their Children. They have kindly shared with us their story, and how this Casting is so meaningful to them. Sculpted carefully, their cast hands will clasp flowers in the centre, designed, poignantly, for a small bunch of Forget-me-nots.

"Ours was a whirlwind romance, we met on the 9th Jan 1976 when I was 19 and he was 22, he asked me to wed 5 days later. I accepted after a further 2 and we got engaged on Valentine’s Day, followed by our modest wedding on the 3rd September the same year, nobody thought it would last including our parents! However almost 40 crazy years later we have proved them wrong!"

We had planned early retirement ... so we could travel the world before we were too old

"We had planned early retirement for October 2015 so we could travel the world before we were too old, and we were devastated when Pete was diagnosed with incurable cancer 2 years ago. Sadly it is now in the advanced stages and he is now too infirm to travel. However I feel so grateful to you, Luis and our wonderful children that when Pete passes I will have a tangible reminder that he will always be with me holding my hand just as he has always done every day of my adult life"

Couples Hands Holding Flowers

He will always be with me holding my hand

"When we visited your studio we enjoyed the experience so much we have shared it with all our friends as it was a delight and very informal. I am really thrilled with the detail on my wedding rings as Pete loves to indulge my passion for jewellery and we had asked Luis to capture the finer points if he could"

Thanks again to The Edinburgh Casting Studio.
