Earth Day: How to Reuse & Recycle Your Casting Kit

April 22 is Earth Day, a global event that takes place each year to raise awareness for the environmental protection and care of our planet. The team here at The Edinburgh Casting Studio is passionate about reducing waste. We've put our heads together to come up with ideas for recycling and reusing our casting kits.

Can We Do Better?

The plastic paint brush and the PVA sealant we provide are not recyclable, although the brush can be added to your art supplies so you can continue to use of it after your casting. We'd love to know customers' thoughts on whether you really want or need these materials. Your cast doesn't need to be sealed, unless you are especially worried about it becoming grubby, or you prefer a slightly glossier finish.
